Hollywood Twitter: John Murdy’s Thoughts on Today’s Announcement

For a time, the fences of the West Georgia Correctional Facility have provided a safe haven for a small band of survivors. But a mysterious new virus has broken out inside the prison, infecting the residents and causing them to “turn” into walkers. Now the fences that kept the walkers out have been destroyed and the walls of prison have been reduced to a smoldering ruin, and the survivors have no choice but to take their chances back out on the road: a journey that will be filled with unimaginable horrors. Welcome to “AMC’s The Walking Dead: End of the Line,” a terrifying new experience inspired by Season 4 of the wildly popular AMC series.

You’ll follow in the footsteps of the human survivors on the show as you flee the overrun prison and enter a nightmarish landscape, searching for a promised new safe haven that may not be all that it seems. Don’t look back . . . until you reach the end of the line!

Shouldn’t be a big surprise that Walking Dead is returning, its the hottest thing in horror (heck it beat football in the ratings this year). Every year the show gives us new ENVIRONMENTS and CHARACTERS and its AWARENESS is off the chart and just keeps growing…it’s a phenomenon. It’s an honor to work with our friends at AMC and particularly the great and talented Greg Nicotero to bring Walking Dead back to HHN.

For those of you who follow the CODE NAMES, this was the code name “ATARI 2600.” I said a game on that system had a signature sound effect. I was referring to Pac Man and the key sound effect missing on that game: “Waka Waka Waka.” Or, said another way “Walker Walker Walker.” I admit that is one of the worst hints I’ve ever given, but hey, the maze didn’t leak before the release hit, so I’ll live with that.

There is MUCH more to come for HHN 2014 HOLLYWOOD, all of the maze properties to come HAVE NEVER BEEN FEATURED AT THE EVENT. Stay tuned…”
