“Nightmaze,” Universal Studios Florida, 2011
While 2011’s “Nightmaze” may not have featured the elaborate costumes and sets that some of the other areas relied on for scares, it was still a fascinating scarezone. At its best, it was an experiment in ever-changing environments that evolve around you. At its most basic, Nightmaze was a fantastic location for people watching.
Watch as the shadowy scareactors subtly open and close doors! Chuckle as teenage girls get startled by human draperies! Thrill as that group of drunks gets lost and walks into a chainlink fence!
