I am ecstatic to announce a cutting-edge, terrifying virtual reality experience is coming to Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. “The Repository” seamlessly blends custom virtual reality technology with immersive real-life storytelling bringing guests into the next dimension of horror experiences.
This is one of the most electrifying Halloween Horror Nights’ project I’ve ever worked on – primarily because it is the culmination of 8 years of experimental story-telling, drawing on feedback from our vast HHN audience to learn what thrills and chills them the most.
Throughout this heart-pounding, psychological journey, guests’ most personal and intimate fears will be tested as they encounter real-life characters in highly themed physical environments, while working together in teams of four to uncover a paranormal mystery told through the use of the cutting-edge technology.
All of this is set in a centuries old warehouse where paranormal and supernatural artifacts have been collected and stored for hundreds of years. Recently though, the secretive organization behind this practice has installed state-of-the-art technology that allows spectral transportation into paranormal realms.
Until now, the supernatural has infiltrated our world on occasions labeled “hauntings.” Now, and for the first time ever, we will send you across the SDP (spectral dark portal) directly into those terrifying environments. I wish you a safe journey because what happens to you on the other side is irreversible.
“The Repository” can be purchased as an upgrade from your Halloween Horror Nights admission for $49.99 plus tax, per person. It will be available to guests during all Halloween Horror Nights events, beginning Sept. 29 and running through Oct. 31.
Universal Orlando Annual Passholders can purchase tickets beginning August 16. Check the Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Facebook page for details. Tickets for the general public will be on sale beginning August 23. Halloween Horror Nights admission is required. Check back on August 23 for details on how to book your experience!
Get ready for The Repository, because the door will soon be open to a mind-blowing paranormal experience like no other.

Well, Maniacs—you created the perfect world of mayhem throughout the past five months. You’ve recruited followers to spread the madness of Jack far and wide. You’ve celebrated 25 years of horror history at Halloween Horror Nights 25. You’ve craved the carnage and he noticed. Jack the Clown definitely noticed.
Because of their dedication on Twitter and Facebook, 200 fans joined a horde of fellow Maniacs for a special gathering on Sunday, November 1—The Last Laugh: A Social Media Meet-Up. Here’s a look at what happened…
Entering the front gates, fans followed the clues only they could recognize. The Jack Symbol marked the ground indicating the direction to take, leading to the next icon and ultimately to the destination.
From there, they entered the world of chaos that was adorned with circus décor flanked by buffets and bars. MASKerade dancers greeted guests, a live band filled the room with creepy tunes and everyone had a chance to paint their face as a true Maniac.
Then, in the midst of celebration, a slow chant began to rise. As the Maniac proclamation crescendoed, a spotlight appeared. Flanked by #HHN25 horrors, the Clown Prince of Chaos and his companion, Chance, addressed their followers with a mixture of disdain and admiration. He then challenged the loyalty of the group and found one to sacrifice for their cause… for Jack.
At the conclusion of the spectacle, Jack greeted his followers with personal photographs; a moment he demanded everyone remember.
Jack’s Maniacs, you’ve spread the chaos, you recruited others to follow Jack and now you’ve had the last laugh.

Is it your first time going to Halloween Horror Nights? Don’t panic! We’ve compiled some top tips that event veterans have shared on our Halloween Horror Nights Twitter and Facebook pages. Read up and have a blast!
- “Get there early. Houses first. Rides and shows later. Houses again if you have time.”
- “When you grab someone’s hand out of fear, make sure you know that person.”
- “Go with a fun group. Get there early. Express Passes are worth it. Go to a few houses first before the lines get long, then come back to use your Express Pass. Take your time to see the awesome details. Watch the movies before you show up!! Have fun.”
- “Don’t look behind you.”
- “Get there before park close. Stay and Scream is a godsend!” [Editor’s note: “Stay and Scream” is the nickname of the Add-On ticket that adds Halloween Horror Nights to your daytime theme park ticket.]
- “Stay hydrated, stay alert, and have the time of your life!”
- “1. Get a multiplayer app for your phone [Editor’s note: we’re partial to the History of Horror Trivia Challenge ourselves] to entertain you and you group (and possibly make line friends) 2. If you don’t want to wait through lines when HHN first opens, wait about an hour or so before you head in. You’ll also miss the bulk of the traffic driving in… 3. Do not mess with the scareactors! It’s their job to spook you, not your job to antagonize them.”
Arielle Neko L.
- “Take turns going into the houses first in a group!”
- “Don’t cry. They’ll just come after you more.”
- “Take a moment to enjoy everything around you, the feel of the moment, & to appreciate how much love it took to make it work.”
- “Wear a diaper; don’t be embarrassed if you your pants. When you fall on the ground, get up as quickly as possible, and try not to punch the clowns.” [Editor’s note: do not punch the clowns.]
- “Wear comfortable shoes!”
Mike Aiello, Director of Entertainment Creative Development

It has been almost a year since we last heard from the Legendary Truth organization, but that silence has ended. At approximately 10:19 am today, the above message was posted to the official LT Facebook Page. We look forward to more messages (and, hopefully, missions) from The Collective and will bring you more information when it becomes available.

RE: Communications Blackout
Our facilities in Princeton have been locked down for the past 11 months while Senior Staff research scientists completed a program under the strict supervision of Dr. Thorncastle himself. Accordingly, communications were suspended due to the very high security measures necessary to protect a new technology that advances the LegendaryTruth stated Declaration of Responsibility.
In coming days I will be communicating details of their success and the need for your participation in the field testing phase of this revolutionary technology. Stand by to learn more…
